  • Overview

    Reporting to the Plant Manager supports Boyne City location.  Provides high-level administrative support to Plant Manager and Plant Supervisors.  Performs onboarding and orientation for hourly employees in Boyne location.  Processes and corrects time and attendance for hourly employees.  Assists employees with benefits issues.  Reconciles company credit card receipts for facility.  Processes daily shop paperwork.  Responsible for OSHA, DEQ, Hazardous Waste records, main switchboard coverage.



    • Time card balancing
    • Enter and maintain records in ADP HRIS system
    • Production receipts and any questions regarding work orders
    • Ordering office and medical supplies
    • Ordering Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses.
    • Scheduling of Safety Shoe Truck
    • Solving payroll issues
    • Processing payroll changes for new hires, layoffs & medical leaves
    • Maintains vacation schedule for shop employees
    • Tracks attendance
    • Assists with processing of accident reports
    • New employee orientation
    • Training information and scheduling
    • Monthly attendance records
    • Maintain employee records and files
    • Maintain weekly/monthly VOC log
    • Maintain SDS sheets, online and paper copies
    • Maintain Hazardous Waste Manifests
    • Maintain DEQ Water Sampling Records and results
    • Maintain OSHA records
    • Temporary Employee Time/Records for Billing
    • Monthly No-Fault Attendance Policy Reports
    • Daily mail distribution
    • Main Switchboard coverage
    • Maintain BICS payroll system
    • Maintain 5s audit records
    • Perform internal auditor duties
    • Shop maintenance scheduling
    • Organize lawn care and snow removal
    • Maintain and reconcile company credit card
    • Order and organize visitor lunches
    • Daily safety talks
    • Support and participate in the company quality process
    • Perform other work related duties as required


    High School Diploma with at least 2 years administrative support experience

    Associates Degree a plus

    Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize tasks

    Ability to collect data and compile reports

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

    Proficiency in ADP HRIS system a plus

    Understanding of insurance benefits a plus
