    Responsibilities

    Business Analyst

     

    Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

    The SAP FICO Business Analyst will be responsible for day to day support of the production application related specifically to the FICO module but will also be called upon to participate in projects.  The candidate is responsible for streamlining business functions using analytical tools along with best practices. Business skills and excellent people skills are a must. This individual reports to the IT Manager, and will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.  

     

    Major Areas of Responsibility

    • Collaborate with key business resources in providing SAP functional support for the FICO module, understand their needs, prioritize efforts and recommend changes or alternative solutions when multiple options are available
    • Support CO-CCA, CO-IO, CO-PC, CO-PA and Material Ledger with additional support on any of the following FI related functions such as FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR,
    • Perform hands-on configuration in the SAP FICO module
    • Understand the integration and relationship between SAP modules, especially as they relate to FICO & COPA
    • Provide Level 1 \ 2 support and maintenance of SAP FICO module to solve end user problems and answer related questions
    • Resolve Service Request tickets in accordance with agreed upon SLAs
    • Collect and review business requirements, recognize gaps in business processes, create functional designs, data and functional mapping, undertake hands on configuration of modules, communicate with developers, perform unit and integration tests and analyze results
    • Manage and control implementation of changes without business interruption
    • Support the deployment of production applications and provide post-production support related to custom system enhancements and integration points
    • Participate in system and applicate upgrades, enhancements and resolutions
    • Ensure company, department and governmental standards are followed at all time and provide sources and documentation for recurring IT audits
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Knowledge

    • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. 
    • Must have experience in Controlling with:
      • Cost Center Accounting
        • Profitability Analysis
        • Inventory Valuation
        • Product Cost Accounting – Make to Order, Make to Stock
        • Actual Product Costing – Material Ledger
        • Internal Order Accounting
    • Knowledge in Finance module with:
      • Master Data Management
      • General Ledger
      • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
      • Month End/Year End Closing
      • Cycle count
      • Consolidations
      • Reconciliations
      • Intercompany Transactions
      • Financial Reporting
    • Should have experience integrating FICO with SD, PS, MM, PP and WM

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting or working in the finance team
    • Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 with expert knowledge in SAP controlling and good experience with Finance

     

    Demonstrated Physical Abilities

    Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence
