    Responsibilities

    Business Analyst

     

    Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

    The SAP Business Analyst’s be responsible for day to day support of the production application related specifically to the FICO module but will also be called upon to participate in projects.  The candidate is responsible for streamlining business functions using analytical tools along with best practices. Business skills and excellent people skills are a must. This individual reports to the IT Manager, and will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.  

     

    Major Areas of Responsibility

    • Collaborate with key business resources in providing SAP functional support for various functional areas.
    • SAP modules including MM, SD, PS. Understand their needs, prioritize efforts and recommend changes or alternative solutions when multiple options are available.
    • Apply technical skills when identifying issues and working with developers and other functional analysts on projects in order find solutions.
    • Perform a broad range of tasks which includes research, analysis, design, configuration, testing and implementation of information technology solutions within SAP.
    • Perform SAP Minor System Configuration, document requirements, develop solutions using standard or customer SAP functionality, complete appropriate system tests (acceptance testing), writing user documentation and train end users on functionality.
    • Level one support includes account management (create/change/delete), troubleshoot system issues, release/import transports, and run reports.
    • Participate in system and application upgrade and enhancement projects.
    • Manage remote connection and applicable keys (Object, Developer) in SAP Service Marketplace
    • System maintenance – Coordinate system refresh (testing environment), conduct SAP audit measurement
    • Ensure company, department and governmental standards are followed at all time and provide sources and documentation for recurring IT audits.
    • Support of SAP implementation during the following stages: project preparation, business blue prints and realization.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

     

    Knowledge

    • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
    • In depth knowledge of SAP Modules: Material Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Project System (PS).
    • Minimal technical expertise in the related modules and experience with configuration, master data and testing.
    • Ability to research additional integration points such as HR mini-master.
    • Knowledge or experience with technical development objects and understanding how they interact with SAP (Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Enhancements, and Forms).
    • Working knowledge of Report Writer/Painter, Smart Forms, SAP Script, SAP Queries, SAP Workflow
    • Experience writing functional requirements and associated test cases as well as excellent documentation skills.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of functional experience configuring and/or using SAP as Super/Key user.
    • Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is preferred

     

    Demonstrated Physical Abilities

    Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence
