The company is currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer.
Position Summary/ Primary Purpose
The Structural Engineer is a member of the Mechanical Airport Baggage Handling engineering team that reports to the Group Engineering Director. This position will work under the direction of the Senior Mechanical Structural Engineer and/or Project Engineer. This position will participate in the design and detailing for conveyor equipment, platforms, header steel and other conveyor system components. The Mechanical Structural Engineer will learn to take on more complex engineering responsibilities such as system layouts, structural design and field support.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Broad Knowledge as Follows (Basic/Preferred)
Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Education & Experience
Demonstrated Physical Abilities as Follows: remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
